Kevin grew up in Curaçao, a Dutch Caribbean island just 40 miles off the coast of Venezuela, where he moved from in 2011 to attend Moody Bible Institute in Spokane.
He comes from a loving, single-parent home, who instilled a passion for living out the Gospel. This led Kevin to grow spiritually at a remarkable pace, eventually leading and caring for hundreds of youth in Curaçao as part of Abundant Grace Fellowship. He also devoted his time as the spokesperson for the ATM Foundation, an organization aimed at lowering instances of STD’s and unwanted pregnancies in the Dutch Caribbean.
After graduating in 2015, he married his wife, Brittany. He transitioned into the medical field, where he was able to develop his business acumen to positively impact the Spokane community. During this time, he was able to research and understand the pervasive nature of homelessness and under-resourced communities and its damaging impact on Spokane’s youth.
Kevin discovered Youth for Christ during his undergraduate career, as Moody Bible Institute steadily provided the organization with dedicated volunteers to come alongside high-risk youth and show them the restorative power of Jesus in all aspects of their lives. He believes that this model allows for a real impact in our youth, and, in turn, allows them to change their community.
Soon after graduating Whitworth, with his MBA, he felt led to join Youth for Christ and accepted a position as the Director of Business Operations.
Kevin loves to go on dates with his wife, play with his son, Grayson, and his daughter, Harper, go on long walks with his dog, Raven, and read books.
